Amsterdam-based Afghan artist and producer Ferdous has released his latest track, ‘Heartleak’. It’s a song about his passion for change, which is perfectly represented in his genre-less music, which constantly pushes boundaries and avoids being pigeonholed. This time around, he has allowed the inspiration of club music to find its way into his sound, with dance, techno and electronica providing the sonic palette for both ‘Heartleak’ and his upcoming mixtape, Dreamland. “It’s something I haven’t done before,” he explains “I feel like the club influence has always been there in a subtle way, but now I want to be more upfront about it.” Be sure to check out Dreamland in February 2024. -Dan Peeke
